Tips for Scholarship Applicants

These are helpful tips for completing the scholarship application.

  • When you create your account on our application website (click here to access), please double check your email address.
  • Your application will require information such as grade point average, academic transcript, admission status with your university’s Teacher Certification Program and the year and semester you will student teach. You are encouraged to upload unofficial versions of the transcripts to your online application. Please remember that official paper copies of your transcripts must also be mailed to the foundation.
  • Review the application in advance, compose your answers in another word processing program, and have it available when completing the online application. This will provide a backup copy and give you the opportunity to check for spelling and grammar errors before you submit your application to the foundation.
  • Have the names and emails of your three letters of reference available. The individual whose address has been provided will receive an email with instructions for uploading a reference letter in’ one of the following document types: .doc, .docx, .txt, .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, .tif. When you return to your online application, you will see that the reference status is ‘pending’ if an upload has not been received or a ‘complete’ if submitted.
