AHEC will give students the opportunity to learn to utilize and identify a variety of different painting styles dating from different periods in history. These projects will help connect the students to their history and community by providing a cultural reference point for students to be able to connect with the art that exists everywhere around them, from advertisements to paintings in museums. Excursions to museums will also help bolster the students understanding of where and when various styles originate from and how to masterfully utilize and appreciate them. Student artwork will be prominently displayed at the NYSO art show.
